With the autumn season approaching, it’s time to start searching for that perfect pair of boots. My favorite silhouette this season is the western inspired boot. These boots are the perfect alternative to a stiletto heel because they sit on a block heel allowing for comfort and versatility.
At least once a year I get the urge to cut bangs and I usually go through with it at one point or another. I think I am starting to get the bang bug now that it is winter but this year I think I want to change it up. Big hair and volume is my thing, I think flat hair is very sleek, but it gets boring. Lately, I’ve been super obsessed with vintage Brigitte Bardot hair, a long waved bang swooped off to the side toward spiraled tendrils at the ear. It’s a great alternative to traditional bangs and less of a commitment. The hair isn’t as short and defined as a fringe but instead is curled and swiped off to the side allowing the hair to grow back a lot faster.

I don’t know about you but every season I get caught up in a color that I love and I’ll buy everything in that color. I’ve recently been obsessed with olives and oranges but this fall the color obsession turns to red hues. From power reds to oxblood and everything in between. We saw fall runway looks with red hues head to toe and some with just a pop of color. Check out some of my favorite red pieces for the fall after the break:
From structured oxford button ups to concert tees (thank you Rihanna), it wasn’t long before the oversized shirt trend evolved for the colder weather. We’ve jumped from shirts as dresses to actual dresses as shirts…crazy, right?! It’s the perfect way to stretch the life of not only your summer wardrobe but your formal wardrobe as well. While it seems daring, the look is almost effortless to pull off.
When it comes to revamping an outfit, accessories are the *major* key…more specifically, the neck scarf. From a simple bandana to a designer silk scarf, they’re the perfect finishing touch to an outfit. Whether you want to feel fancy or you just want to ditch neck jewelry for the day, it’s super easy to pull off. Here are 3 ways to wear your neck candy:
Culottes are any garment which looks and hangs like a calf length skirt (not to be confused with palazzo pants which flow down to the foot), but is split down the middle and actually pants. Back in the Victorian times, these long wide legged pants were made so women could everyday things such as horseback riding, gardening, riding bikes, etc without the inconvenience and limitations of an actual skirt. Culottes have definitely made a comeback as does everything. A vintage look with a modern twist.
These pants are practical for just about anything as they give the illusion of a skirt yet the flexibility of a pant. Check out some looks below: Continue reading “styling: culottes”
